Think of the things of God...
Hi everyone,
We have a three step plan for returning to physical church.
Online Church (October)
Warm Up Church (November)
Together For Christmas (December)
But as we head back - we want to be thinking the right things. Paul says to the Colossian church (Col 3:1-4):
"Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory."
There's many things we are thinking about at the moment. Going out again. Beaches. Visiting people and family. All great and wonderful things - gifts from God!
But let's also be thinking of the things of God. The heavenly things.
How can you be finding joy in Jesus? How can you be serving God? How can you be loving and serving others?
Let's not spend our time on the things of this earth - but on serving the Lord Jesus Christ who first served us.
